7 Reasons to Go Wireless
Wireless systems now make up two thirds of the systems that we install. Each customer chooses to go down the wireless routes for their own reasons and we have listed out 7 of these below.

Wireless systems now make up two thirds of the systems that we install. Each customer chooses to go down the wireless routes for their own reasons and we have listed out 7 of these below.
1) Time
Wireless systems can be installed very quickly. The site is surveyed and the equipment is programmed before arrival and this enables a 50 detector system to installed in just a day. This would take a minimum of two weeks to install if a standard wired system were being fitted.
2) Looks
You’ve had the whole building decorated and fitted out to just how you want it and then you find out that you have to replace your fire alarm system. The solution? Go wireless! Power is required for the control equipment but that is the only cabling required. All of the detectors, sounders and manual call points are installed with just two screws.
3) Efficiency
Wireless systems can be installed around the normal operations of a site. Hotel rooms can still be sold, offices can still operate and events can still take place. The disruption really is minimal and with only 5 minutes required to install any device we’ve moved onto the next one before you know it.
4) Flexibility
If your lease expires or you want to relocate then you can just take the fire alarm system with you, it can be reprogrammed or added to, and then reinstalled into the new premises. Perhaps you are planning a refit. If so the devices can be removed and then replaced once the work is complete, all the while leaving the rest of the system in full working order. Extensions can easily be accommodated with the new equipment just being added to the existing system. They truly do allow you to do anything you need to.
5) Leasing
We offer lease, via our partners, for any works over £1000 but this option is particularly good for wireless systems. Lease companies do not allow large costs for installation works but because these systems are so quick to install then the full amount can be leased easily. Once the agreement term is complete the system is then all yours, this can be a really useful way to help cash flow whilst being fully compliant from day 1. Payments are fixed throughout the term and VAT is claimed back across the length of the lease.
6) Cost
The cost of the equipment will always work out to be higher but when you bring in the other factors involved then a wireless system is often the cheaper option. No redecoration or damage to the fabric of the building, no waiting time for your staff whilst the installation takes place in their area, all rooms can still be occupied and charged for and customers are not put off by the sound of drills vibrating their way through a wall.
7) Listed Building
The original selling point of the wireless system was to allow our country’s beautiful architecture to be protected without ruining the aesthetics with surface mounted cables and holes through walls. This still remains true and for any listed building a wireless system is really the only option.
